When I was very little, my mom would sit on the couch to braid my hair every Sunday. I would grab my pink jelly bag filled with my hair stuff and head to the den to sit cross legged at her feet. I was only about 7 at the time but I was an avid reader and I loved to look through her magazines while she was doing my hair. On one such occasion, as I was looking through a HOME BEAUTIFUL, I came across one of those design quizzes that were popular content in magazines in the 80s. One of the multiple choice questions had my 7 year old vocabulary stumped. The question asked “what word best describes your decorating style”? I read all the choices to my mom but I when I got to the last option, I didn’t know what the word meant. I said “mommy, what does eclectic mean”. She said “well…it means you like a little bit of this… and a little bit of that…and you mix it all together”. Even though I was very small, I still seemed to understand exactly what she meant. My house was always filled with chochkies and antiques with every inch of flat surface covered in something interesting to look at. That word “eclectic” stuck with me and has since become a big part who I am and who I show myself to be to the world. It has informed my personal style and taste ever since. It has made me fearless…always open to trying things and exploring ideas no matter what anyone else thought. My personal style has become A way to communicate how I feel without ever saying a word.

Orange Juice Only in effect has become an extension of that childhood experience. As a collector for the last 20 years, The pieces in My collection span from the outrageous to the minimal…the sweet…the masculine…and everything in between. But As a virgo, I take a meticulous approach from not just selecting pieces but also restoring them to their original beauty by hand in as near perfect condition as possible. Right now, The current focus for the collection is rooted in my newest passion for antique lingerie, Edwardian era apparel and 70s and older mens garments. Every season, I will present a series of curated small collection drops that mirror my many varied styling interests.
